Mr. Setty is a Vice President at Tricap Partners & Co. and has over 10 years of experience in corporate finance for early-stage and middle market companies. His background includes financial and corporate development advisory, sell-side and buy-side advisory, divestitures, management buyouts and private placements.

Mr. Setty previously served as a Principal in the Corporate Valuation & Applied Corporate Finance Group at Canary & Wall LLC, where he was involved in several transactions in mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, as well as equity and debt financings for early-stage and middle market companies. In addition, Mr. Setty served as a Manager in the Valuation & Economic Advisory Group at Grant Thornton LLP, where he led teams involved in transactions of both publicly-traded and privately-held companies on behalf of the firm’s financial sponsor clients. In this capacity, he was actively involved in pre- and post-acquisition analysis and due diligence, including purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment and intangible asset valuations. He previously served as an Associate in the Financial Advisory Practice at Huron Consulting Group, Inc.; the practice was subsequently acquired by Grant Thornton LLP. Mr. Setty began his career in finance as an Analyst in the Corporate Finance Advisory Group at Nabarro Wells & Co. Ltd in London, where he participated in numerous private placements of equity and debt for various financial sponsor clients.

Mr. Setty received a BS in Engineering and Computer Science from Bangalore University in India and an MBA from the George Washington Graduate School of Business. He has lectured on valuation and levered buyouts at Harvard Business School and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and he has similarly taught financial modeling courses at the investment banking training programs at numerous investment banks, including Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Jefferies & Co., Morgan Stanley and UBS. He is the author of “Valuation Handbook: A Practical Guide to Wall Street Methodologies” (2012) and a contributing author of “Business Valuation and Bankruptcy” (2009).
